Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke to him about his function in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) team and the methods which he makes a difference at Realtor.com. Here's what he stated: Q. Tell us about your team. A. We own 9 backend search services that are core to the business's success. One of the most essential is the Search API, which powers results on the Search results page page. Our tech stack consists of Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work carefully with the Artificial intelligence group to bring AI-driven functions to the customer experience, such as search significance improvements and AI-powered search. We're a collaborative, friendly team that prioritizes strong onboarding and constant support. New employee are guided through the ramp-up process up until they're confident taking complete ownership of their work. Each employee is valuable to other staff member when facing obstacles. We value a culture where wins are renowned freely, and problems are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person parties, to keep sociability strong. Q. What's your biggest achievement so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most happy of the expert development I have actually achieved considering that joining Realtor.com as a Software Engineer over 7.5 years earlier. Throughout this journey, I've developed deep domain proficiency, stayed updated with developing industry practices, and consistently dealt with contemporary technologies. My commitment to continuous learning and effect resulted in my promotion to Staff Software Engineer and my function as one of the group's technical leads. Most recently, I've taken on the duty of being individuals Leader for the team-an exciting next step that allows me to support others in their growth while continuing to drive technical direction. I take pride in the fact that my long tenure here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to progress technically and take on greater management Q. What should somebody wanting to join us in #Tech know? A. Realtor.com provides exciting technical challenges, from large-scale information managing to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML integration. My group culture is extremely collaborative, with a strong focus on mentorship, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional teamwork. #Engineers frequently get chances to own vital and challenging projects, work cross-functionally, and step up into leadership or specialized functions.
